Three Principles of CIS
These values provide a sound foundation for both serving youth and operating effectively as a community development organization.
Coordination
CIS works with the local community and serves as a resource broker and program facilitator by forming public/private partnerships needed to reposition community resources into the schools.
Accountability
CIS affiliates create a safe, supervised, healthy, accountable environment in order to provide resources and services that meet individual needs. CIS maintains accountability by tracking indicators like stay-in-school rates, attendance rates, and improved academic performance.
Personalism
CIS affiliates foster a one-to-one relationship with young people, promoting individual achievement by letting students know that someone cares about their success. |
